It's been a while....

...since I last got round to posting here.

Didn't help that after much resistance (or maybe I was just being obstinate) I finally upgraded and got a Google account and then promptly lost the bit of paper with my new login details. Anyway I have found it now so I am back. For now. Until I get round a to paying for some web space and migrate to the heady heights of a Wordpress blog (or even manage to get my PHP and MySQL skills up to a point where I can write my own). Nothing against Blogger I just want to have all of my bits and bobs (of the internet variety) in one place.

My main drive for this migration is so I can add mixes to my blog/site and waffle on in lengthy detail about just how each mix was conceived and executed and what inspired my choice of records.

I'm not expecting many visitors!

So anyway what have I been up to.

Till May there was the long depressing wait to hear what was happening about moving followed by the frantic flat finding and moving. In hind site it has been a good move and the new pad is oh so much better. Just hope I get to stay here for a while now.

Post moving was the run-up to youngest brothers wedding and some intensive searching for my first suit. Very pleased with my suit although I still have a little niggling memory of swearing as a young man that I would never conform to wearing a suit. I was young and stupid then, Not that I'm any less stupid now - I just don't care as much. Anyway the wedding was great which is far more important than my suit. Probably the last of the Copcutt weddings for quite a few years.

I realised through the suit searching just how much like hard work clothes shopping is. The fact that I never do it really doesn't help but I now understand why the well dressed fashion slaves have to spend so much time out there searching for the next outfit. It's tricky, all that remembering where you did see something that was quite nice, what colour it was exactly and will the shade match the item you are currently staring at through tired bleary eyes. I resorted to a notepad to help me out.

Still need to buy some more clothes due to a ridiculous length of time of accidentally ending up in a record shop every time I left the house to look for clothes. I'm rather good at buying records. As with most things it's a case of practice and I've had a lot of practice.

Have reached a point in now though where it would be nice to have a few more outfits to wear. Nothing extravagant, just options. Just need to find time to fit it in around record buying!!

I don't have a problem.
I don't have a problem.
I don't have a problem.
I don't have a problem.

It's a matter of perspective.
